Address Tip: Kigali uses a coded addressing system. Street signs starting with KG indicate you are in Gasabo, while KK represents Kicukiro and KN represents Nyarugenge.
Kacyiru: The Diplomatic Quarter

Kacyiru is the primary location for governmental offices and many international missions, most notably the US Embassy. The area is well-paved, quiet, and highly secure, making it a preferred location for professionals working in the public sector or international NGOs.

Kimihurura: Elegant and Modern

Kimironko: The Commercial Frontier

It is most famous for the Kimironko Market, the largest and busiest traditional market in the city. It also encompasses highly sought-after residential areas like Kibagabaga.

Remera: Nightlife and Energy

Gisozi: Production and Heritage
Beyond being the site of the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Gisozi is a center for craftsmanship. It is home to Gankinjiro, a place famously known for where you would go to buy natural wood furniture and construction materials. It is a sector defined by industry and essential local trade.
